Monday 8th January 2024 to Friday 12th January 2024
Our New Year starts with our usual Warner break to Bodelwyddan Castle with its excellent facilities and beautiful scenery. Departing at 10:30am on Monday we will stop for a comfort break at Blakemere Craft Centre and continue onto Bodelwyddan Castle arriving early afternoon for 4 nights dinner, bed, breakfast and entertainment from the 50's to the present day - from Dolly Parton to Guns and Roses, as well as Ballroom and Party Dancing. On Wednesday the coach will depart the hotel to take you the short journey to Llandudno for a day in the resort. Llandudno is an ideal place to stroll the promenade, peruse the number of retail outlets and enjoy a relaxing lunch in one of the many cafes and restaurants. Tuesday and Thursday are free days at the Hotel for you to enjoy all the facilities they have to offer or take a walk to The Marble Church. There are a very limited number of single rooms - which are now waiting list only.
Monday 29th January 2024 to Friday 2nd February 2024
Built in the mid-1500s, this beautiful Grade I listed Tudor manor has a truly unique story. History is literally on your doorstep: the stunning location has played host to occupying Romans, a Tudor tryst and even a Civil War army. The grounds contain an ornate Roman mosaic floor and settlement remains. Henry VIII courted Jane Seymour here, and the D-Day landings were planned within the house. England's last remaining Cromwellian Chapel in a private house is also here. During your stay there will be 4 nights of lively entertainment with tributes to Shirley Bassey, Adele, Barbara Streisand, Beyonce and many more plus comedy, dancing, and plenty of Leisure facilities to enjoy. The coach will take you out on 2 days exploring the local area with a free day to relax.

Monday 26th February 2024 to Friday 1st March 2024
You could be travelling anywhere in The United Kingdom, so you had better be prepared for any kind of adventure. Pack your waterproofs for climbing Hadrian’s Wall, ready yourself for a relaxing stay by the sea or charge your camera for all the photos you’re going to take. Will you be able to deduce your destination? Don’t let the initial direction fool you into thinking you’re going there straight away. There will be a comfort stop en-route and the driver will be instructed to keep quiet about the week. So, don your deerstalker and grab your pipe for a holiday with a difference. The Hotel is somewhere between ‘Faulty Towers’ and The Savoy with its standard of service and facilities. It may have a pool, but whether it’s got water in it is another matter. March 2024

Monday 18th March 2024 to Friday 22nd March 2024
New for 2024 we are organizing a Midweek break to Llandudno with a difference. Arranging activities on the 4 countries of the UK and our hosts at The Kensington have a special surprise arranged. On Monday we will be travelling though the lovely Cheshire Countryside into Wales, stopping at The Tweedmill at St. Asaph for your Welsh Tweed. Then arriving at the Hotel for Welsh cakes with tea & coffee. The evening meal is Welsh lamb with of course mint sauce. Tuesday’s excursion is across The Irish Sea (Menai Strait) to Beaumaris, Anglesey and a tour of the West of the Isle before returning to the Hotel for an evening Meal of steak braised in Guiness with traditional Irish Champ. Wednesday is a Scottish theme with a visit to Whisky Distillery (imagine it’s in Scotland) then for a surprise authentic Bulgarian lunch, prepared by Veronika a true Bulgarian followed by an afternoon of quizzes and bingo at the Hotel. Your evening meal will be Scottish Salmon. Thursday is a trip to the Medieval City of Chester for a taste of England and the meal will be Roast Beef with Yorkshire Pudding. The final day Friday we are free to explore Llandudno until we depart early afternoon.

Somewhere new for 2024, The Suffolk Coast staying at Ufford Park Hotel, Woodbridge. This holiday includes a guided tour of The National Stud, providing visitors an insight into the world of Thoroughbred breeding. Immerse yourself in Green Island Gardens at Colchester, a ‘Plantsman’s Paradise’ and one of the best gardens in Essex. You will be treated to a full day guided tour of the local area. The Hotel is set in 120 acres of parkland, a few miles away from the Sutton Hoo estate, it also boasts a restaurant, sports bar and coffee lounge to relax in. No need for your passport for this overseas holiday, it’s a short sail to The Isle of Wight and The Trouville Hotel in Sandown. From the hotel’s commanding position, the lounge and bars boast stunning views of Sandown Bay and its long stretches of golden sandy beach, its traditional British seafront and pier. All rooms have a sea view except for the single rooms, which are limited with no supplement. There will be an around the island tour, a visit to Queen Victoria’s beloved Osborne House, The Wight Military and Heritage Museum, with its interactive displays and knowledgeable volunteers on hand to explain, bringing the exhibitions to life. Our Spring Holiday is to The English Riviera and The Esplanade Hotel, Newquay. The Hotel is the perfect location for an unforgettable seaside stay overlooking the famous Fistral Beach. Excursions during your stay include a delightful 2-hour cruise on the river Fal, admission into The Eden Project to explore one of the world’s largest indoor rainforests and enjoy the extensive outdoor gardens. Admission to The Lost Gardens of Heligan to wander the network of magical gardens, woodland walks and farmland brimming with interest and intrigue. There will be a free day to enjoy Newquay or the facilities of the Hotel.

Holiday treats include wetting your whistle with Whisky tasting at Dalwhinnie Distillery, a single journey on The Strathspey Railway through the moorland and woodland along the River Spey, explore the Highland Folk Museum to experience Highland life from the 1700’s to the 1950’s and bring your camera for a 1 hour cruise on Loch Ness to see ‘Nessy’.

Once again staying at the popular Bedford Hotel to enjoy 5 nights dinner, bed and breakfast, (no small tables less than 6 are available in the dining room). A beautiful, friendly, and family-run Hotel on the seafront. Set in a historic regency house, which offers comfortable and stylish accommodation with stunning views of Lyme Bay. Enjoy a narrow-gauge tram ride from Seaton to Colyton, then onto Lyme Regis to enjoy some sea air. Sunday 7th July 2024 to Friday 12th July 2024
‘Over the Sea to Ireland’ Holyhead to Dublin on the afternoon ferry, with an overnight in Dublin at The City North Hotel, Gormanston. The following day there is a half day guided tour of the city, then onto our Northern Ireland base at Dunadry Hotel, nestled on the banks of the flowing Six Mile River in County Antrim, The Hotel offers award winning gardens to stroll around or head to the modern Health and Fitness Club with its heated pool. The Dunadry is steeped in history, it can be traced back as a far as the 1600’s when it housed the High King’s of Ireland. During your stay, trips will include a Guided Tour of Belfast, admission into the Titanic Museum; a scenic journey to The Giant’s Causeway with admission into the visitor’s centre and onto Portrush and finally a visit to explore Hillsborough Castle and Gardens, the official Royal residence in Northern Ireland. We return via the Belfast to Cairnryan ferry making our own way home from Scotland to Biddulph. Photo ID and dates of birth are required.

The Summer Holiday to Llandudno is as popular as ever, as we spend our time at The Kensington Hotel on the promenade, with its spectacular views of the Great Orme and Llandudno Bay. There are 50 en-suite guest rooms which have been newly refurbished with a TV, telephone and hospitality facilities. Saturday is a free day to enjoy Llandudno with all its attractions and retail outlets. On Sunday we cross The Britannia Bridge onto Anglesey and travel to The National Trust House at Plas Newydd on the Menai Straits, an enchanting mansion and gardens with spectacular views of Snowdonia. We return home on Monday via The Kingways Tunnel under the River Mersey into Liverpool for a few hours sightseeing.

Our Hotel will be The AlonA, Motherwell and is the ideal location for a few days of adventure. Set within the grounds of the idyllic Strathclyde Country Park and on the banks of the loch, our glasshouse restaurant and bar has a welcoming atmosphere with it’s unique architecture. Excursions during your holiday include a Three Bridges cruise on the Forth estuary, spanning nearly 140 years of Scottish engineering. A visit to the magnificent Falkirk Wheel, where you board a boat to be hoisted 35m on the world’s only rotating boatlift and a trip on the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer ‘The Waverley’ travelling from Greenock to Loch Long and onto Loch Goil.

Tuesday 6th August 2024 to Monday 12th August 2024
We head south to Bournemouth to The Mercure Queens Hotel for a single night stay, dinner, bed and breakfast. The coach will transfer you to the ferry for a five-hour crossing to St. Helier and The Merton Hotel. It’s our usual base whilst we stay on the Island, with The Aquadome and leisure facilities. During your stay, you will have Grandstand seats for the amazing “Battle of The Flowers”. Large floats covered in flowers parade around the Arena accompanied by musicians, dancers and bands, creating a memorable Carnival experience. There will be a late lunch at The Hotel on this day. Another day will be a coach tour around the island with a local guide, giving you the opportunity to see where you would like to revisit (at your own expense) on the two free days or you can just enjoy the Hotel facilities. Our lunchtime ferry from Heysham to Douglas takes three and half hours, arriving late afternoon at The Palace Hotel in time to change for dinner. The Hotel has a pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna and gym to relax, but for a different way to enjoy your holiday there is a casino. Theres a busy itinerary of activities including a train ride on Britain’s longest steam line from Douglas to Port Erin along the Island’s charming countryside, a full day guided tour of the Island with a local guide. A journey on the Electric Railway from Douglas to Laxey Wheel and then the Snaefell Railway to the top of the Isles only mountain.

Staying at The Crown Hotel, with its beautiful surroundings and luxurious facilities. It boasts 115 individually styled bedrooms, with complimentary Wi-fi and tea/coffee making facilities. Excursions during the stay include visits to The World of James Herriot, where James lived, worked and wrote his incredibly successful series of books based on his experiences as a young Yorkshire Vet. To Harewood House, when you walk around the House, and can see the vision of Edwin Lascelles, who started building the House in 1759. Explore RHS Gardens at Harlow Carr by walking along the multitude of pathways through the woodland, gardens and greenhouses.
Monday 30th September 2024 to Friday 4th October 2024
We return to the Hampton by Hilton Hotel, situated in ideal location by the harbour, minutes’ walk from the Marina, Princess Pier and Beach. Breakfast and dinner are buffet style, there is a fitness center, bar and free Wi-fi. One day we have a trip out to one of England’s classic ocean cities, Plymouth, with its rich naval history, walk on the Mayflower Steps where the Pilgrim Fathers set sail to the New World in 1620. A Local Guide will join the coach for a tour of the local area and you will have an opportunity to discover Torquay at your own pace with your free day.

Friday 25th October 2024 to Monday 28th October 2024
Our Autumn Tints holiday is always popular at The Kensington Hotel. This classically styled Victorian, seafront hotel prominently positioned on the central promenade, has easy access to the town and retail parks. Travelling to Llandudno, we have time to see The Shropshire Sculpture Park near Oswestry, as featured on ‘Sue Calmans Day’s Out’, continuing to the Hotel via Llangollen along the Old A5. The holiday wouldn’t be the same without a tour of Snowdonia National Park in Autumn, stopping for a comfort break in Porthmadog. Sunday, we journey the short distance to Colwyn Bay for some retail therapy. Returning home, we will take a break in Wrexham for the outdoor market.

Our Turkey and Tinsel break with a difference is All Inclusive, with a drinks package in the evenings, which includes house wine, beer and soft drinks. The Hotel in Drymen dates back to the late 1700’s and throughout history has offered lodging to weary travellers passing by Loch Lomond. Formerly the coaching inn, The Winnock has been lovingly restored and extended to its present form, with open log fires, a character restaurant and public bar. Your busy schedule begins with a journey through Aberfoyle and over the Dukes Pass to Loch Katrine, this route is considered to be one of the most beautiful in Britain. Here you board our steamship for a cruise along the length of the Loch with “Carolling all the Way” to get you in the Christmas mood. After a leisurely breakfast we travel to Stirling, a place full of history and at the heart of the old town is the medieval Castle. Walk the old streets for a spot of retail therapy, or venture into the shopping centre.

The Chesford Grange Hotel near Kenilworth is your home for three nights, set on rural acres along the River Avon. The stylish rooms have contemporary furnishings with TV, free Wi-fi and drink making facilities. Amenities include an indoor pool, fitness centre, spa and the restaurant offers amazing views of the River Avon. On Saturday there is a late lunch at the Hotel before making our way to Sudeley Castle for the ‘Spectacle of Light’. Explore the beautiful night-time trail around the Castle and Gardens, marvelling at the majestic trees and romantic ruins all lite up. A short trip to Stratford Upon Avon on Sunday to stroll around the Christmas Market and find those gifts for someone special. As you return home on Monday, there’s a stop in a small place called Birmingham for their little Christmas Market, which is considered to be the largest outside of Germany.
