Friday 3rd July 2020
It has been many years since we last visited Ilfracombe and we are using The Carlton Hotel, a Hotel we successfully visited in 2019 with a private group. It is within easy walking distance of the seafront, harbour and High street.
During our stay, there will be day excursion to Arlington Court, which is a neoclassical style house owned by the National Trust.
A trip to Barnstaple with time for lunch, then onto Clovelly Village a step back in time, with its cobbled streets and many listed buildings. The village has been privately owned for over 800 years.
We shall have a morning visit to Tavistock on market day followed by a drive over Dartmoor to enjoy the bleak scenery and entry into the Prison Museum, Princetown.
On your free day you could take a ferry over to Lundy Island at an additional cost or just enjoy Ilfracombe
